Apart from its normal duties as envisaged under its constitution the association has undertaken certain special projects like:

Computer Training Center:

In order to enable our member industrial units to have facilities towards introduction of latest information technology a computer training center has been set up with a capital investment raised under critical infrastructure balancing scheme (CIBF) under which 50 % of the cost is raised by the association and matching grant from the industries department of the State Government.

Technical Library:

In order to help SSI members who cannot afford to have their own technical library the association has setup a technical library under CIBF with facilities to refer technical books under various subjects.

Drinking Water Facility:

We have provided drinking water connections to all the industry units of IDA, Uppal in collaboration with HMWW & SB., again under CIBF.

Conference Hall:

In order to conduct seminars, workshops, training programs, meetings etc a well furnished AC conference hall is provided (supported with catering) under the terrace canopy. These facilities are made available for conducting seminars, workshops/meetings etc., of the association besides the units desirous of conducting individual programs.

Cable Internet:

In order to provide 24 hours uninterrupted internet facilities to our member units the association has taken up cable internet facilities to the entire IDA, Uppal covering all member units at a nominal cost.

Communication Facilities:

The member units are also provided with centralized fax and xerox facilities at actual cost.

Financial Institution:

In order to provide financial credit and financial services the association has provided space for setting up of an SSI Branch of Andhra Bank in our commercial complex.

Short Term Credit:

In order to provide short-term credit facilities to the member entreprenuers units the association has established an Entreprenuers Co-operative Credit Society.

Recreation:

The association has a well-maintained garden with facilities for outdoor games.

Stress Management:

The association offers stress management courses for the benefit of our members.
